‘Deadpool’ fans are loving new viral bum-shaped “cheeky” controllers

To promote the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine film, Xbox has released two controllers with detachable butts.

There are two controllers that feature the colourschemes of Deadpool and Wolverine’s iconic costumes. One red and black, the other yellow and blue. From the front, they just look like colourful controllers, but flip them over and they have been embellished with massive butt cheeks.


Unfortunately, these robust behinds aren’t so robust, as they’re only attached via a series of small magnets, so they’re easily detachable and, in fact, hollow. So, don’t get too rough when you’re playing or a derrière may fly off.

Fans love the controllers despite their shortcomings. “Gonna need this one and the Deadpool one. Matching pair,” writes one person on Instagram. “That’s Canada’s ass!” writes another, echoing a line from Avengers: Endgame, where Captain American goes back in time, fights himself, sees his own bum, and comments, “That’s America’s ass.”


If you like the look of the controllers and want to get your hands on their firm backsides, put your wallet away; you can’t actually buy them. Instead, you’ll have to enter an online sweepstakes. You need to follow the official Xbox Twitter account and repost a tweet alongside the hashtag #XboxCheekyControllerSweepstakes.


If you do this, you could win much more than a controller. You’ll get two and a Deadpool & Wolverine themed Xbox Series X. The film will be released Friday July 26, 2024. It stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman as the titular superheroes who cross paths and team up to defeat a common enemy. It will also feature Lady Deadpool, who many believe will be Ryna Reynolds’ wife, Blake Lively.
