Reports have emerged that that Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs is already on board for the reunion, and former drummer Alan White teased that he might join the tour over the weekend. Now, according to The Mirror, Archer who recently performed with Noel Gallagher‘s High Flying Birds, is also “expected to agree to a deal” to team up with the band.
“None of the band is 100 per cent confirmed yet, but Gem is looking very likely along with Bonehead,” one source told the tabloid. “The key is getting people who both brothers get on with and also respect and ideally of course they would also have been in the band before too.
“Gem ticks all those boxes and he also contributed to the writing of some Oasis songs. He is an obvious target and it would be a huge shock if he was not on the stage for the UK tour. He knows the songs, he knows the band inside out and he has been on tour with the Gallaghers before and so he knows what he would be signing up for.”

Gem joined Oasis in 1999 after replacing Arthurs and played with the band until they split in 2009. He also performed with Beady Eye before he joined Noel Gallagher in 2017.
Elsewhere, original Oasis drummer Tony McCarroll recently claimed he is unlikely to appear in the reunion tour. He said to MailOnline: “I’m happy for Noel and Liam. Really happy for them…They haven’t reached out yet and to be honest I’m not holding my breath.”
Tickets for the band’s reunion went on sale on Saturday (August 31) and promptly sold out at 7pm.
However, some fans who managed to reach the other side of multi-hour long queues were left frustrated to find huge price increases on tickets, due to Ticketmaster’s dynamic pricing policy.
Ticketmaster have clarified on their website previously that tickets that are “market-priced” “may increase or decrease at any time, based on demand. This is similar to how airline tickets and hotel rooms are sold.”

Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy has since called for a review into “dynamic pricing” and secondary ticket sites.
Elsewhere, Oasis and Sabrina Carpenter are currently competing to secure this week’s UK Number One single.
