50 Cent has hit out at Diddy after sharing an apology video for allegedly attacking Cassie in newly released footage.

Diddy – real name Sean Combs – is currently facing a series of ongoing investigations regarding alleged sex trafficking, sexual assault and harassment. The rapper’s homes in Miami and Los Angeles were raided in March, seemingly in connection with the accusations.

Last week (March 17), footage of the rapper from 2016 appeared to show the rapper beating his former partner, singer Cassie, and throwing an unidentified object at her from a nearby table was obtained and published by CNN.

The footage aligns with testimony Cassie gave in a lawsuit filed against the rap mogul, in which she claimed Diddy “became extremely intoxicated and punched [her] in the face” at the hotel, then followed her into the hallway and threw glass vases at her after she tried to leave when he was asleep.

Diddy has since apologised for his “inexcusable” behaviour in the video allegedly showing him attacking Cassie.

Now, 50 Cent – real name Curtis Jackson – has taken to his Instagram to react to Diddy’s apology video and hit out at the rap mogul. The ‘Many Men’ singer reposted the video and captioned it: “This is not going to work, who is advising him right now? SMH bad move.”

The rapper also reposted the graphic footage of the attack and wrote in the caption: “Now I’m sure puffy didn’t do it, he is innocent this proves nothing! This is what his lawyers are gonna say, God help us all.”

In his apology video, Diddy shared that he “has asked God for his mercy and grace” but is “not asking for forgiveness”. He added that he is “truly sorry” and revealed that he allegedly sought professional help and went to both therapy and rehab following the 2016 incident.

“It’s so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you got to do that,” he said. ”I was fucked up – I hit rock bottom – but I make no excuses. My behaviour on that video is inexcusable.”

Jackson also responded to Diddy’s previous statement released, denying all allegations made against him prior to the publication of the surveillance footage of him allegedly attacking Cassie.

“The lie detector test has determined this was a lie…. Maury vibes,” wrote the ‘In Da Club’ rapper in the caption of an Instagram repost sharing Diddy’s statement.

Elsewhere, Diddy’s son – rapper King Combs – recently dropped a diss track defending his father while hitting out at 50 Cent.

The track from King Combs – real name Christian Combs – comes after he too was accused of sexually assaulting a woman in a lawsuit that also names his father, which their lawyer described as “another lewd and meritless claim”.

“Police raid the crib like they think we selling crack, but we out here selling tracks / multimillion dollar plaques,” he raps on the song.

The artist goes on to name drop the ‘Candy Shop’ rapper, asking “when all they had was 50 Cent who put this city on the map?”

50 Cent has been vocal about the various allegations facing Diddy – all of which he has denied – in recent months. Back in March, the rapper confirmed that a documentary on the sexual assault allegations surrounding Combs is to be released, titled Diddy Do It?

Last month, he also showed his support for Kesha, after she changed the lyrics to her debut single ‘TiK ToK’ to insult Diddy.

In other news, Cassie’s husband – Alex Fine – penned a message to the rap mogul following the assault video, writing: “Men who hit women aren’t men. Men who enable it and protect those people aren’t men.”
